AUX Architecture - 2020
Eligibility
We welcome submissions from all AIA San Fernando Valley Chapter members, regardless of project location, as well as from AIA members of any Chapter for projects within the San Fernando Valley Chapter boundaries. This includes all of Los Angeles County north of Mulholland Drive and west of Glendale Blvd. The communities of Valencia, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valley are a part of our boundaries.
All projects must be submitted with this template to be eligible for awards.
Categories
Categories will be created as appropriate for the entries received from:
Residential (including: Condos, Apartments, Multifamily Units)
Commercial (including: Institutional, Educational, Interior Architecture)
Mixed-Use
Urban Design
Historic Preservation / Adaptive Reuse / Renovation
Landscape
Sustainable Design
Product Design
Others (Memorials, Religious, Museums, etc.)
Special Categories
In addition to the main categories, there are four special categories that recognize outstanding contributions and achievements:
20-Year Award: Celebrating projects of enduring design quality completed prior to the end of the 2003 calendar year. Submissions must include at least one original photographic slide along with current condition views.
AIA / San Fernando Valley Firm Award: Honoring a single firm for its body of work, including at least five projects executed over at least ten years. Firms may nominate themselves.
Best Client: Recognizing clients who have actively supported and influenced the architect in the design process for projects built in the past five years. Submissions should detail the client's impact on the design decisions and include slides of the project(s).
Building Team of the Year Award: Acknowledging a project team that demonstrated strong collaboration to achieve design excellence. The team may include clients, architects, contractors, consultants, developers, and public agencies.
